I have known Scott for years and he is also a great musician - check out Birds of Avalon and the Dynamite Brothers!

These are fantastic. My neighbor from some years ago, painted a mural of his grandfather on a shed in his backyard. It was pretty good. The man in question was named Tom Jose. Not that you've ever heard of him, but he was a pretty decent guitarist, and worked at Lockheed on the Lunar Lander, among other things. His name is inscribed on a plaque sitting on the moon.

I met Tom when I first moved in to my place, but I didn't know anything about him until his grandson told me.

Anyway, I love the murals. I'd love to see more of them.

These are stunning murals. I love every one of them and hope Scott Nurkin goes on to do more.

Please ask him if he would make an English fan very happy by producing one of Lester Young and another of Bird. These are great pictures of wonderful people who should never be forgotten. How about a combined one of Pres and Basie?

I reiterate my request to the people of New York to identify the sites of all the great clubs and bars on Swing Street. It's your great American heritage, don't let it go.

I have seen a Billy Strayhorn mural in an N.C. town - it's amazing what you can see when you pay attention.

Not any big buildings I can think of in Deep Gap, but there must be room for Doc Watson there somewhere...

I would love to see an Allman Brothers mural. Somewhere in Macon, Georgia would be great or their high school in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Makes me proud to be a native North Carolinian. Hope he includes Monk, Tal Farlow and Strayhorn among others. NC is wonderful for supporting the arts and extremely proud of their musical natives.

I love seeing murals of famous people. It must really make a mark on people in those towns to know somebody famous came from there.

These are fantastic. Lots of great murals in St Pete FL where I live, but these musicians are a whole other level. Those would make me happy every time I saw them. I'd love to have beer with Roberta.
